Research Interests

My research lies in the broad areas of cyber security and privacy focusing on two domains: Internet protocols and cyber physical systems like social robots. Research methods I have used in projects stem from network modeling, graph theory, distributed ledger (blockchain) algorithms, machine learning, and quantum computation. I am also interested in cyber security education at both the university level (undergraduate and graduate) and K-12. My efforts support the vision of the Marquette University Cyber Security Awareness and Cyber Defense Center.

Funding

I am grateful for the support of NSF (National Science Foundation) for "CRII: SaTC: Towards Securing Social Robots". NSA (National Security Agency) and NSF have also awarded my team with GenCyber grants. I am regularly involved in the NSF funded Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) program run within the Computer Science department at Marquette. More on the outcomes of these awards can be found under Publications.
